Vermont ADA News

May

Once again we tip our collective hats to Barbara Johnson. At last count Barb has raised 3,870 dollars to benefit Alzheimer’s and she is still counting. Her silent auction in Cave Creek, Az. has become a successful annual event. I'm happy to say Barb plans to be back in New England in time to attend the Vermont ADA Spring Meeting.

Our Spring meeting will be held at the Middlebury Inn on May 21st. We have a very exciting and important meeting planned and even if you shun meetings you won't want to miss this one. Art restorers and Vermont ADA members, Randy and Linda Smith, will talk about the newly discovered Sheldon Peck Illinois portrait and it's restoration.

In addition we will be discussing plans for the 39th Annual Vermont Antiques and Art Antiques Show to be held at the Union Arena in Woodstock on July 27th & 28th. Extra show cards and posters will be available along with this year's newly printed Directories. Meet, Greet, and Eat!

The 43rd Annual Antiques and Uniques Festival held in Craftsbury Common, Vt. on July 13th is looking for a few good dealers. If interested in doing this long running outdoor antiques and crafts show contact them at antiquesanduniques@gmail.com

July 13th will find many Vermont ADA dealers at Antiques In Vermont's first summer outdoor show at Riley Rink at Hunter Park, Manchester Center, Vt. The show is managed by Carlson and Stevenson who also manage an October Show during Antiques Week In Vermont.

I'll end with Get Well wishes sent to Vermont's good friend Joe Brennan of Peterborough, N. H. Joe is currently in a skilled nursing rehab facility following quadruple bypass heart surgery. He's doing well. If you want to remember this feisty eight-eight year old send him a get well card at 130 Hunt Rd., Peterborough, N. H. 03458. I'm sure Judy will deliver it and it will brighten his day.
